BOOK
REVIEW by Robert Howard, The
Hamilton Spectator. Dec 12, 1999
Highly
Recommended
The Rusty Rake Gardener is the work of a Dundas
couple well known for their wonderful garden and their volunteer
work at the Royal Botanical Gardens . This is a lovely book about
making a good garden without breaking your back or your bank account.
The Cummins --- ably assisted by Burlington writer and friend John
Lawrence Reynolds --- maintain a chatty, Dave and Cathy tone as
they talk about what has worked and not worked in their garden.
It’s about design and plants, techniques and tips, but it is also
about the love of gardening and how to nourish that. A wonderful
book by lovely people. Highly recommended.
